  • The open call encourages the active engagement of individuals passionate about reshaping educational paradigms in the region. By fostering collaboration among this varied audience, the initiative aims to harness collective insights and
    design thinking principles to address and innovate in the realm of education. It invites a diverse group of participants,
    including educators, parents, local designers, community leaders, students, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts from both regions.

  • The 4-hour agenda, running from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm with a 50-minute lunch break, ensures a comprehensive and
    immersive workshop experience. It allows participants to actively engage in the design thinking process, aiming to
    transform education in the San Diego-Tijuana region. By addressing key areas such as Design for Education & Youth
    and Design in Science & Technology, the initiative celebrates local expertise and cultivates innovative solutions
    tailored to the unique needs of the region. The tangible prototypes created during the workshop will serve as visible
    manifestations of this impact, contributing to a more equitable, just, and creatively vibrant San Diego-Tijuana community

Meet The Facilitators

Facilitator

  • Jarazet is a Design Thinking and Certified Agile Leadership expert with over 15 years of experience in developing and implementing innovative frameworks across Mexico, the US, and Europe.

    She has also led global agile teams and co-founded several innovation-related initiatives.

    Jarazet is passionate about the power of education to transform the world and has coached Design Thinking in multiple contexts and organizations, including IDEO U. She is also Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego California.


    Jarazet is the creator of several methodologies and frameworks that use the power of deliberative play to drive human-centered innovation, such as the Super Epic Collaboration Game, UNbox-inn Creativity Process, and co-creator of Playnnovation and the Innovator's Mindsets Framework.

Co-facilitator

  • Allison Case has over 10 years of experience in the education field. She holds a BA in Intercultural Studies and a Masters in Teaching, along with certifications in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language (TESOL).

    She has taught TK-3rd grades in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Rome, Italy.

    She is Passionate about equipping the next generation as they learn and grow together, Allison brings dedication and enthusiasm to her role in education.
